Studio notes Beginner pole fitness in Burton-on-Trent: planning your first classWhat to wear, how to choose your first session and where to find our Burton-on-Trent studio. A practical starting point for new pole students. Thinking about trying pole fitness in Burton-on-Trent? Your first decision is simply which session to book. At A-Core Fitness & Dance, our Pole Fitness class welcomes different levels; check the level shown on the individual timetable session and contact us if you are unsure where to start. Do I need experience before booking? You do not need to arrive knowing spins, climbs or dance routines. Tell your instructor that it is your first session so they can explain the equipment and help you work at an appropriate level. You can ask questions and take a break rather than trying to keep pace with someone who has trained longer. What should I wear and bring?Bring water and clothing you can move in. Shorts and a vest or T-shirt can help with the skin contact used for pole grip; bring an extra layer for warming up. Avoid applying body lotion or oils before pole training because they can make contact with the pole slippery. If you are unsure about clothing or grip products, ask before buying specialist kit. Which class should I choose?Start by reading the Pole Fitness description and checking the level on the current timetable. Dance-focused classes such as Exotic Choreo and Pole Flow Mastery have different aims, so do not assume every pole session is the same. Open Practice is time to work on material you already know, rather than a replacement for an instructed first class. How do I find the studio? Our studio is at 171 High Street, Burton-on-Trent, DE14 1JE. If you are coming from Stretton, Branston, Rolleston-on-Dove or further afield, check your route and allow time to find the entrance before class. Contact the studio ahead of time if you need information about access or arrival arrangements. What is the next step?Browse the current timetable, read the class level and compare the class passes before paying. Session times and availability can change, so the live booking page is the place to check your chosen date. If you are deciding between pole and aerial hoop, our guide to those two classes explains the main differences. |
